Over the years, Sport Insight has had many different team members that have moved on to other roles and positions.
Jay Worobets
Former PhD Student
Dr. Jay Worobets graduated with a PhD in Biomechanics in 2008 before working as a Post Doctoral fellow with Sport Insight until 2013. Following his time with Sport Insight Jay is currently the Footwear Research Director at Nike.
Geng Luo
Former PhD Student
Dr. Luo completed his PhD on footwear traction and performance with Sport Insight in 2012, after which he went to work at Nike from 2013-2019 as a Senior Biomechanics Researcher. Currently Dr. Luo works at Apple within the discipline of Human Factors/Industrial Design.
Blayne Hettinga
Former PhD Student
Dr. Hettinga completed his PhD as part of the Sport Insight research group in 2009, after which he worked as the Director of Research and Development for the Running Injury Clinic with Dr. Reed Ferber, until 2015. He then moved on to adidas, where he worked on the Sport Science Future Team.
